What is/are your favorite constellation/s?

How many constellations do you recognize?

(survey, for science class)What is/are your favorite constellation/s?My favorite constellation would have to be, the original, Orion the Hunter.

Also, I can only recognize these constellations:

1. Orion

2. The Big and Little Dipper

I'm not that good at finding other constellations. What is/are your favorite constellation/s?
I am taking an Astronomy course right now and have to say that I have learned hardly anything about the stars!!! I'm very disappointed, because this class is basically an ALGEBRA class disguised as an interesting class. But in my own personal studies I can find maybe 5 constellations (cant really see the stars much where I live) but could recognize a lot more.

Favorite is Orion...maybe because the three stars in a row are the easiest to spot, maybe because of that fuzzy spot (galaxy?) between the "belt" and the "sword" or maybe just because it has an interesting story behind it, idk...

Lol like i said, not learning too much about anything in that Astronomy class! What is/are your favorite constellation/s?Definitely Orion.

Candace, that's not a galaxy; that's the Orion Nebula.What is/are your favorite constellation/s?
When I once live in a place where there's always dark skies, around 50 to 60. The only ones I don't recognize are those in the south. When I see them, I already know it just by as few as three stars. I find constellations easier by having my own asterisms.

My favorite are Orion, Scorpius, Carina, Puppis, Vela, Centaurus and Cygnus in descending order. They all have interesting OB associations. I always want to connect which stars of the Orion belong to the Orion OB1-Taurus R1. I found a few hundred and made my own detailed study of each possible member. I'm always fascinated by the runaways like Mu Col and AE Aur and how they came from Orion OB1. I made the same for the whole Scorpius-Centaurus-Lupus. They are separated into three groups actually but you don't need to know that. I love Puppis and Vela coz there's Zeta Puppis whom I have connected with Gamma Velorum as a runaway way back when I was a child. In Carina there are a dozen stars more than a hundred solar masses. In Cygnus (and Cepheus as well), there are many 40 solar mass stars near the end of their lives.

Did I just type all that? Sorry, I "talked" too much. I just found your question interesting beside the many dull and dumb ones out there. Hehehe..,

Clear skies!..,:-)What is/are your favorite constellation/s?Orion, the Southern star and PiscesWhat is/are your favorite constellation/s?
