because you are on the wrong side of the planetWhy is my constellation not up in the sky during my birth month?Astrology is much different than astronomy.Why is my constellation not up in the sky during my birth month?
Because the zodiac as we know it was implemented a long time ago. The planet's position in the sky in relation to the signs of the zodiac has shifted a constellation. Sorry, but I don't know the technical terms for it.Why is my constellation not up in the sky during my birth month?the sun is in your constellation during your birth month. it is in the sky during the day time, directly behind the sun.
your constellation will be promeniently visible, in the night sky, 6 months from your birth month.Why is my constellation not up in the sky during my birth month?
well your constellation is always in the sky, you just cant see it cause of our atmosphere.
the astrology calander goes bye which constellation the sun is in for that month. but unfortonatly because of "precession" which is the movement of the solar system threw the galaxy, the signs have shifted. for example, most astrologers would call a person born march 21, an "Aries" because the sun was supposedly in that direction of that constellation on march 21. but due to precession, the sun was actually in the constellation Pisces on that date!
your actual sign = actual location of sun at your birth
Aquarius = Capricorn
Pisces = Aquarius
Aries = Pisces
Taurus = Aries
Gemini = Taurus
Cancer = Gemini
Leo = Cancer
Virgo = Leo
Libra = Virgo
Scorpio = Libra
Sagittarius = Scorpio
Capricorn = Sagittarius
so its that the constellation it by the sun and the calender is out of wack.Why is my constellation not up in the sky during my birth month?It's astrology's subtle way of saying, 'you suck'.
Actually, your constellation is the one that the sun was in when you were born.
It isn't always necessarily visible at night, depending on where you were born in the world then and are in the world today.
Those constellations are also way out of sync with where they were when it all started thousands of years ago, when you were very young.
聽Why is my constellation not up in the sky during my birth month?
First and foremost, Erik N is correct about precession, but is in error in what causes it. Precession is not the motion of the solar system through the galaxy, it is the change of direction of the earth's axis over time. It is caused by tidal pulls from the sun and moon on the earth's equatorial bulge. It is the same type of effect you see when you spin a coin or a top. After a few seconds it starts to wobble.
Otherwise, Erik N is correct in that since astrology was created over 2000 years ago, the axis of the earth has shifted enough that all of the astrological signs are off by one. As he so correctly indicated, if you were born in early April, you are called an Ares, but the sun was actually in Pisces.
Also, Osto11 is correct too. The reason you do not see your sign on your birthday is because it is very close to the sun. It is still there, but the light from the sun overpowers the light from the stars of your sign just as it does to all the other stars during the day. Even though the sun is not in your sign, it is still only one sign away and that is still too close.
Now if you really want to, depending on the time of year, you can try looking just before sunrise or just after sunset and you might get a glimpse of some of the stars of your sign, but it is very doubtful you will see the whole thing.
And of course as Doug M points out, Astrology is not the same thing as Astronomy. The latter is a science. The former is part of the occult, just like Tarot cards or crystal balls and has it's own forum under "Entertainment and Music" and in the "Horoscope" section.
osto11 is right. The Sun is in your constellation on your birth date.
