What constellation am I seeing?

These two stars are in the eastern sky; I see them around 530am PST. They seem to be in a straight line, possibly angling 35 deg to 45 deg upwards. I think they're Castor and Pollux, but am not sure. Can anyone help? What constellation am I seeing?Yo could be looking at planets.

Check the virtual telescope belowWhat constellation am I seeing?
Pls give your latitude and longitude and time in gmt so that I can answer the questionWhat constellation am I seeing?I think, It is the Orion Nebula.

I went to a university observatory few days ago. I saw 3 stars in a row through naked eye and with telescope around 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
Those aren't stars! That is the approaching mothership and battlestar of the Romulan Empire enroute to Earth for some profitable rape, plunder and pillaging! Or so I read in the Tattler. Unfortunately, I left my Starcharts at home and cannot give you the data you seek. Having a telescope and no starcharts is like beer without alcohol. Mr. Spock says "Very illogical!"What constellation am I seeing? It sounds like you're seeing Venus and Jupiter because they're getting above the horizon before dawn in the eastern sky. I've noticed them myself and they are in a position that matches closely what you're seeing. What constellation am I seeing?
You could be seeing Venus and Jupiter. They recently made a close alignment from our viewpoint on Earth and are now slowly drifting apart.
You're not really giving enough info. Try going to space.com or a similar sight and looking at star charts for your time and location.

It is not Orion's Nebula. You need at least binoculars to see the nebula Also given the time of year Orion the constellation has set in the west. Your latitude - distance from the equator - is a key factor.

Sky and Telescope magazine or Astronomy magazine have very good star charts.

BTW - No one can give a definitive answer with only the info you give us here.

Jupiter and Venus is a good choice but not definitive. Are they moving in relation to each other from night to night? This will be obvious over a few nights. Moving? Planets. Not moving? Stars. What constellation am I seeing?
Well Castor and Pollux are in the night sky so i don't think thats it. You could be seeing Venus and Jupiter
Probably what you're seeing is the planets Venus and Jupiter, which are currently close together in the southeastern sky just before sunrise.
