How to spot leonid meteor shower or the constellation Leo?

I live in the South bay area (san jose) . I want to see the leonid meteor shower at 1:30 AM nov 17 . which direction should i look towards ??How to spot leonid meteor shower or the constellation Leo?Here's a cut and paste for ya from Space.com--look low in the eastern sky between 12:30 and 2:30 your local time. Good luck!

"North Americans 鈥?especially those living near and along the Atlantic Seaboard 鈥?will be able to watch for Leonids from after 1 a.m. local time right on until the first light of dawn, which comes soon after 5 a.m. local time.

Those in the eastern U.S. and Canada are especially favored because Leo will be high in the southeast sky between 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. EST, just before Earth is expected to exit the meteor cloud. For the West Coast, this translates to 12:30 to 2:30 a.m. PST, when Leo is much lower down in the eastern sky"How to spot leonid meteor shower or the constellation Leo?I really don't want to discourage you, but I worked in San Jose for a few years, and light pollution was far too high to make any shower worth seeing.

As a general direction, though, look east-northeast. IF the Leonids are good enough to see this year, you will notice them without having to know exactly where the constellation was to begin with. How to spot leonid meteor shower or the constellation Leo?download stellarium for free and you should be able to see where it is. im in a lazy mood so i cant be bothered to look for it :P

it should be near mars, which will be a bright spot on your skyHow to spot leonid meteor shower or the constellation Leo?
From what I gather, from the "web", the "shower" will not begin until the "pre-dawn" hours,..But anyway,,..It matters not, in which direction that you look,..Just watch the sky,..
