What is historical about Aquarius the Water Carrier? And when and can you see this Constellation in TX?

I am doing a project for science. I am in 8th grade and an honors student but I can't find anything on these to items. PLEASE HELP! Thanks! s.a.m:)What is historical about Aquarius the Water Carrier? And when and can you see this Constellation in TX?Aquarius is not a bright or easy to see constellation. And this month the Sun is too close to it so you can't see it at all; it is on the eastern horizon at dawn. It will be higher in the east each month but not conveniently placed high in the early evening sky until the fall.

I googled "constellation lore" and got some sources. Here is a quote from the first one.

Aquarius, the Water Bearer, is the 12th sign in the modem zodiac (the "first point of Aries " now being in Pisces) and the whole area in ancient times was associated with water or rain. The Babylonians called the area the Sea, and populated it with ocean creatures like Cetus, Pisces, Capricomus and Delphinus, all under the control ofaquarius. The Egyptian hieroglyph for water is the same as that used for Aquarius. In Roman times, the trefoil grouping and a line of stars going south into the mouths of Piscis Austrinus was a separate group, the trefoil denoting an um or amphora.

And the second source is Wikipedia, which is always good. What is historical about Aquarius the Water Carrier? And when and can you see this Constellation in TX?In August Aquarius starts rising in eastern sky as the Sun sets in west. That is the time one can observe this rather dim constellation, surrounded by some bright stars like Altair %26amp; Fomalhaut. The brightest is 'Beta Aquarii'(Sadal sund) of Magn.2.91 just south of Celestial Equator; followed by 'Alpha Aquarii' (Sadal malik) of magn.2.96 almost on the Celestial Equator.

In all it has 100 stars visible to naked eye, till magn.6.0, mostly dull.

Greek and Indian astronomy have the same set of Zodiac names with slight variations. In Indian system it is 'pitcher' while in Greek it is 'pitcher bearer' (water carrier). Sun transits the 'sign' (it is not the same as constellation) during February 14 - March 13 as per Indian system; while the modern astronomy has February.
