During which season does the Constellation of Cancer seen?

Hi Rudoulfo!

Cancer is a winter constellation, for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere who do most of our stargazing in the evening.

Assuming that you go looking about 10 p.m. standard time (and you're in the Northern Hemisphere), Cancer is coming up in the east about 10 p.m. right now. Give it a couple of hours to clear the ground haze, and you'd see it well about midnight right now.

Cancer is at its best around 10 p.m. in early March. That doesn't mean you have to wait for March to see it though. Go out around 4 a.m. right now, and the constellation will stand at the same height as it does on March evenings. But if you don't like waiting until 4 a.m., most any clear night you can see Cancer coming up in the east, starting at 10 p.m. standard time.During which season does the Constellation of Cancer seen?Cancer is visible any time of the year except in July and August, when the Sun is in the constellation or close to it. It is best placed in the evening sky in spring.During which season does the Constellation of Cancer seen? Most of the year, except for northern hemisphere summer.

It rises at dawn in September, sets at dusk in May, and at the moment is rising in the late evening.During which season does the Constellation of Cancer seen?Assuming, that is, that you're in the north.
