you could possibly see more clearly by the brighter stars show that he is slightly kneeling. As it would when someone kneels the belt area slants upwards in the same style as the belts angle

And ussually a zipper would slant the opposite way



To me it looks like a belt. If it was going more more vertically slanted or slanted in the opposite direction then it maybe it would look like a zipper. But unless the starts decide to flip around it still looks like a belt
