What are Draco's (the constellation) prominent stars?

i have to create a brochure for science about this constellation and that is the only thing im missing! ugh its horrible! lol please help!!!!!!!What are Draco's (the constellation) prominent stars?You did check Wikipedia already, right?



It lists the brightest star Eltanin (Gamma Draconis). As well as Thuban (Alpha Draconis) the ancient pole star of the Egyptians. This is one of the exceptions to the general rule that the designated Alpha star being the brightest.

I live in the country, and with a good dark sky Draco is a really pretty constellation as the dragon winds its way around the pole. Now Camelopardalis: _that's_ a really dim constellation!



There are a number of named stars in Draco. Thuban in particular is interesting since it was the pole star thousands of years ago. There is a passage in one of the pyramids in Egypt aligned with Thuban, in fact. The head of Draco is marked by four stars: Eltanin, Rastaban, Grumium, and Nu Draconis.
