Hi Fashion!

Follow the upper stars of the bowl of the Big Dipper. They point to Auriga!

You know about the two "Pointer Stars" at the edge of the Dipper that point to the north star. Take the upper of those two, and the similarly bright star to its left. They're the upper stars of the Dipper. Now, follow them forward, toward the upper right. You'll come to a very bright star, high in the northeastern sky.

That brilliant star is Capella, the brightest in Auriga. The rest of the constellation has some medium-brightness stars you can see easily without a telescope, but you should get a star map to locate the rest.

(By the way, following the line from the Big Dipper to Capella, then turn right at a right-angle. The bright yellow-orange "star" is the planet Mars!)

Auriga is high in the sky any clear winter evening, throughout the Northern Hemisphere. What is the location of Auriga? (a constellation in the sky)?Declination 45 degrees. Right ascension 5 hours 40 minutes.

Adendum: Capella, Alpha Aurigae, is one of the brighter stars in the sky this time of year. What is the location of Auriga? (a constellation in the sky)?
in the northern hem, over head around midnight....What is the location of Auriga? (a constellation in the sky)?Auriga is between and just above the constellations Taurus and Gemini. What is the location of Auriga? (a constellation in the sky)?
To locate it locate orion, gemini first (I assume you know them). Auriga is near it. rises before the orion. It is just above taurus.

Nowadays it will be easy for you if you locate Mars first then look fir auriga near it.

I don't think giving current celestial coordinates are of any use to you.

I'll also recommend you to have some planetarium type of software. Stellarium is free, popular as well as good. Use it to locate stars and constellations.
