is orion the best constellation? What is the best constellation?Yup, Orion has always been my favorite too, not that any of the other are bad are anything. What is the best constellation?
Perhaps the Little Dipper, because it contains the North Star, useful for navigation.
Perhaps Centaurus, because it contains our nearest stellar neighbors.
Or perhaps Libra, because it is most likely to contain a star with one or two extrasolar planets perhaps habitable.
There really isn't a "best constellation". They are just arrangements of stars in the sky, which ancient people saw as illustrations. What is the best constellation? For me too it is 'Orion'.
It is easily recognisable; straddles the Celestial Equator (Orion's belt is on this). Also, it is at the center of the brightest sky with 9 out of the 20 brightest stars scattered around (Sirius, Canopus, Capella, Rigel, Procyon, Achernar, Batelgeuse, Aldebaran, Pollux) and many more 2nd magnitude stars right in Orion itself.
Orion's nebula is the star attraction for any telescope and it reveals more and more detail with a better telescope. In Orion/Gemini we are looking at the outer edge of Milky way, diametrically opposite to the center in Sagittarius.
That cannot be answered because it`s an opinion. But the most simplest is the "Big Dipper". Nobody can figure out Orion`s constellation but the only part solved is his belt containing the star "Betelguese". Orion contains a nebula easily seen to the naked eye itself:)What is the best constellation?Yes. But not just because it's Orion. It's because I have a pattern of freckles on my upper arm that perfectly replicates it, almost down to the last twinkle! What is the best constellation?
Yes, the most easily-recognisable, and contains a nebula visible to the naked eye.
And one of the greatest musical pieces in heavy metal was named after it.

Orion is big, bright, and easy to find, so it's a good one. But the constellation that looks most like its name is Scorpio, the Scorpion. While Orion doesn't look like a hunter, Scorpio definitely looks like a scorpion. What is the best constellation?
Orion!
Orion is the best because it is extremely recognizable and because it is the king of the winter sky, which is the best time to do sky watching.
Earth Man, change your nick to Orion Man!
Orion has always been my favorite.
.
Lyra. A pretty little parallelogram, with extras. Epsilon Lyrae and M57. How can you lose?
Definitely to the ancient Egyptians it was. It is all in the belt.
