A friend just bought a Droid and it has a constellation viewer app. I'm looking for a new phone and love that app, but I've had it with touchscreens and would like something with a keypad, too. Is the Droid the only phone that has this app?Which phones have constellation viewers? The app your thinking of is Google Sky, its an app created by Google and is available on any Android device. The Droid branded phones are the only ones that run Android but the new droid is not the only phone that will have it.
The other droids: Motorola Droid, HTC Eris, LG Ally, HTC Incredible will all have the apps as well.
I'm guessing they got the new Droid X, has a real big screen. If you haven't tried out the touchscreen on it you really should first because I hate touchscreen keypads as well, but this is the one phone I actually like the keyboard because the phone has such a big screen, it makes the keyboard really big too.
But if you want a Droid with a keyboard, the Motorola Droid and LG Ally both have keyboards as well. If your willing to wait there is also a new Motorola Droid 2 coming out later this summer, it will basically be a faster version of the Motorola Droid and it will still have a keyboard.
All the droid phones have access to the Android Marketplace and there's currently around 66,000 apps out for the phones that just do all kinds of things.
One of the main apps I use is called Shop Savvy, it scans the barcodes on products then looks the product up and finds the cheapest price in both Online stores and Retail stores. So if you have any stores around you that has a policy where they match the lowest price of any store around, you can easily scan the product your looking for, see if anyone else has it cheaper and then show them and they'll lower the price for you! Its great.
Hope that helped! Let me know if you have other questions!
