January is when Taurus is at its best.
It's at its highest, due south in the sky from Europe, late in a January evening. Better still, it is well up in the eastern sky shortly after sunset on January evenings. I prefer to look for it in early evening, when you'll find it in the east, heralding the rising of Orion.
In Europe, you could see Taurus as late as the first week of May. It first comes out in the pre-dawn skies in July. You can't see it between early May and July because during that period the sun is passing through Taurus, so it's only up in the daytime. Is it true that the TAURUS constellation is viewable in January from Europe?Yes. Taurus is visible at some point in the night, year round, with the exception of the heart of summer, when the Sun is located in and near that constellation. The winter months are the prime months for viewing Taurus, although you can see it early mornings, just before sunrise in autumn, and catch is just before sunset in the spring. Is it true that the TAURUS constellation is viewable in January from Europe?Yes.
See for yourself; for example: http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/YourskyIs it true that the TAURUS constellation is viewable in January from Europe?
Yes. The same constellations are visible at the same local time everywhere on Earth, except for extreme northern and southern constellations.
