When does the Scorpius constellation rise and when does the Orion October 25, 2008?

Orion, the mighty hunter (see my profile for my email) proad boastful that he could hunt anything. His boasting angered the gods so they sent a little scorpion. The scorpion sting felled the mighty hunter, and for its reward Scorpio was placed in the heavens. Since the scorpion likes heat we see it in the summer skies, rising early evening. Now Orion was the best hunter the gods ever knew, next to them of course so he was placed in the heavens as well. So as not to be bothered by the scorpion again, he is on the opposite sky and is setting as the scorpion rises.

In answer to your question, Orion will be in the evening sky in October as Scorpio will be setting with the sun. When does the Scorpius constellation rise and when does the Orion October 25, 2008?To answer your question, one must know your location that is your latitude, longitudeWhen does the Scorpius constellation rise and when does the Orion October 25, 2008?Orion and Scorpius are on opposite sides of the sky, in accordance with the myths that go with them.

Orion rises about 2130 local standard time on that date. Since it straddles the celestial equator, this is not influenced by latitude.

At my latitude Antares rises in the afternoon in late October. Since it's during the day, the exact time doesn't make much difference. Unless you are an astrologer, and you probably don't want to know what we think of astrologers around here...
