I cannot choose just one, I have three. One is Orion, the easiest of all constellations to pick out. It has some many diverse things inside it, such as a nebula, Red Supergiant, a Blue star, etc. that makes for interesting looking. My next favorite is Sagittarius, this one contains the center of the galaxy. Much farther than the stars we see as the constellation there it is, and whille not very bright, it is very, very interesting, because I want to know what is holding everything together at that point. My third favorite is the constellation Andromeda. Within it is the Galaxy M-31, the Andromeda Galaxy. What's your favorite constellation and why?Orion - because I can always find it.What's your favorite constellation and why?
orion... im fascinated by the super giant BetelgeuseWhat's your favorite constellation and why?probably casseopia...the W constellation or the Northern Cross..even though that might be an asterism.
Lyra. Two reasons. Carl Sagan wrote such a wonderful story about Vega and because it contains the very first nebula I'd ever seen. (Ring nebula). What's your favorite constellation and why?Orion is the most interesting constellation. The nebula there can be seen with small binoculars, and is a huge star-forming region. In a few thousand years it will contain a magnificent open star cluster much bigger and brighter than the pleiades. It's also the most recognizable constellation, containing a lot of bright stars. Betelgeuse in particular is one of the reddest stars that can be seen (besides Mars). What's your favorite constellation and why?
Lyra because it is amazing to look at everything in and around it in the summer sky .
also because it is apart of the summer triangle .
and it connects you too galaxies , nebula's and star clusters
you can enjoy all summer night long .
( gawd this winter is loooooooooong ! hurry summer!)
