I'd like to learn about the constellation Perseus. What knowledge can you share with me?

Wikipedia has a complete article on every constellation, and I'm sure someone is likely to reprint the entire wiki article on Perseus here for you. However, Perseus is one of the ancient constellation, representing the hero who slew Medusa, took her head and rode off on Pegasus to use it to freeze Cetus, which was otherwise about to eat Andromeda, whose parents are Cepheus and Cassiopeia (all constellations in their own right).

Perseus includes the Double Cluster, a pair of galactic clusters of about ten to twenty thousand stars. It also includes Algol, which to the Greeks and Romans was the eye of Medusa. Its Chinese name means "Piled Up Corpses", while Algol comes from the Arabic Al Ghul, meaning night walking flesh eating demon. The reason the star was so unpopular is that it is an eclipsing binary (it's actually a triple star system but the third star is remote and not involved in the eclipses) with a period of 2.87... days. At brightest and dimmest it matches two neighboring stars, so the eclipses are frequent and easily noticed.

Wikipedia also has an article on Algol, if you are interested.
