I cant find the constellation Perseus in the sky. I live in Altoona,PA.?

The news said that their was gonna be a meteor shower in the sky near Perseus. I only have binoculars. Any solutions?I cant find the constellation Perseus in the sky. I live in Altoona,PA.?Perseus doesn't come above the horizon until after midnight. It is located between 40-50 degrees or north / north east in Atloona. drop the binoculars, you cannot predict where you'll see them and you won't be fast enough.

most are seen through the peripheral vision,



THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. they only EMIT from Perseus.



If you look right at Perseus, you won't see them. if you look EVERYWHERE else you'll catch plenty.

Saw them last night. they almost covered the whole sky.



MAKE SURE YOU GET AWAY FROM THE CITY LIGHTS.

I live in Altoona,PA.?The Perseid meteor shower is alot like salt from a salt-shaker - except the meteors are the salt, and Perseus is the salt-shaker. Like the other's have said, you'll be able to see meteors all over the sky - but they all seem to be coming from the general vicinity of Perseus.



However, if you are in-town, you'll see only a fraction of the shower compared with if you drove out to the country side where you'll actually see many more dimmer meteors.
